Job Summary
The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for a Preschool Instructional Assistant for the Early Education Department of the Learning and Leadership Services Division. Under general supervision, the Preschool Instructional Assistant assists in the supervision, care and instruction of children ages birth to age 4, and assists in preparing and organizing activities and materials in the State funded infant-toddler or Preschool Program.
This opening will be assigned to the infant room at the Little Schoolhouse Child Development Center, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Please note:
This position is grant-funded by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) General Childcare and Development (CCTR) program and based on year-to-year allocations.
This position requires completion of high school or equivalent and a minimum of six (6) semester units or equivalent quarter units of post‑secondary child development or early childhood education course work from an accredited college or university within three years of hire date. A typical qualifying background would include experience (paid or volunteer) working in a licensed child care facility serving children ages birth to five.

- Proof of all required vaccinations, including measles and pertussis vaccines
- Child Development Assistant or Associate Permit with 3 units in infant care is highly desirable
