World Language Teacher Pool
This opportunity is open to all interested candidates. The World Language Teacher Pool is for assignments for the school year. If you are currently in the World Language Teacher Pool eligibility pool, you must submit a completed application to be considered for a position in the school year. OVERVIEW:

POSITION SPECIFICS:
The San Diego Unified School District accepts applications for World Language Teachers on a continuous basis for regular full-time and part-time assignments. Candidates who wish to teach French, Japanese, Mandarin, Tagalog, Spanish, American Sign Language or any other world language should apply to this pool. San Diego Unified is looking for world language teachers for elementary immersion, secondary immersion and secondary world language settings.
This is a continuous recruitment which will be used to establish an ongoing eligibility list.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This pool is for individuals who:
-Hold a valid teaching credential,
-Are enrolled in a college/university to attain a teaching credential,
-Are intern eligible through their college or university, or
-Are eligible for a Short-Term Staffing Permit (STSP) (see CCTC STSP Requirements for eligibility requirements).

-A valid credential.
-Candidates eligible for a credential may be considered. Please reference the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website for details.
Application Process To be eligible for consideration, interested candidates must submit the following. Online employment application Cover Letter Resume Copy of a valid teaching credential, proof of enrollment in a credentialing program (candidates must be scheduled to graduate within 6 months), proof of intern eligibility, or proof of short-term staffing permit eligibility.

We will contact your professional references during the application screening process. Written reference letters dated within the last year are also accepted and may be attached to your online application in the Reference section. Contact information for all previous places of employment must be listed under the 'Employment History' section of the application (Assembly Bill 2534).
