Spanish Instructor

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Spanish Instructors to lead after-school Spanish enrichment classes at multiple San Diego elementary schools. Instructors will provide engaging, beginner-friendly language lessons through interactive activities, cultural exposure, and positive classroom management.

Program Sites:

• Franklin Elementary — 4481 Copeland Ave, San Diego, CA 92116
• Juarez Elementary — 2633 Melbourne Dr, San Diego, CA 92123

Age/Grade: K – 5th Grade Background Check:
Live Scan required Auto Insurance Requirement:
Not required for San Diego locations

Juarez Elementary

Wednesdays Time: 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Teach interactive beginner-level Spanish using games, songs, storytelling, vocabulary practice, and cultural lessons.
• Maintain an encouraging, structured classroom environment for students in grades K–5.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans and arrive ready to teach.
• Supervise students safely before, during, and after class transitions.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and program coordinators.
• Track attendance and report any behavioral or safety concerns.

Requirements:

• Experience teaching, tutoring, or leading youth programs preferred.
• Strong Spanish-speaking ability (conversational to fluent).
• Positive classroom management and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality.
• Live Scan background check required prior to starting.
