Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Extensive Support Needs Education Specialist (previously Moderate/Severe). The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who require significant support and a strong commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Selected candidates may be contacted to provide individualized instruction, implement functional academic and life‑skills programming, and support students in achieving their IEP goals.
Responsibilities- Deliver individualized instruction to students with extensive support needs.
- Design and implement functional academic and functional life‑skills programs.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists and families to support student IEP goals.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Possession of a valid California Education Specialist Instruction credential in the subject matter of the posting.
- Authorization in Extensive Support Needs highly desirable.
- English Learners Authorization.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
- Letter of Introduction – current and position‑specific.

- Credentials/Certificates – include all required credentials and certifications. CTC credentials must be current screenshots of the credential details page.
- Copy of Transcript – include BA/BS transcript and all post‑Bachelor’s transcripts showing degrees awarded (unofficial copies accepted).
- Recommendation Letters – three current letters dated within the last two years.
$71,571 to $103,136 per year (full‑time). Part‑time assignments will be prorated.
- Pay dependent on experience.
- Applicants with two or more years of full‑time K‑12 public school experience start at step 3 (maximum starting step).
2026–27 School Year – 186 Days
