POSITION SUMMARY

The Site Director oversees all operations of a Klassic Kids Extended Learning Program site and ensures full compliance with ASES/ELOP regulations and agency policies. The position’s highest responsibility is the safety, security, and well-being of every child enrolled, including providing direct service when needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follow all ASES/ELOP regulations and Harmonium/Klassic Kids policies and procedures.
  • Maintain visual supervision at all times and ensure children are safe from harm, abuse, exploitation, and prejudice.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, enriching environment for every child.
  • Work at least 90% of scheduled program hours; schedule changes must be pre-approved and documented.
  • Participate in all required Klassic Kids and Harmonium meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain the safety, security, and overall well-being of all students enrolled.
  • Meet monthly with the principal to share program updates and ensure expectations are met.
  • Keep the designated school space clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Review and approve employee timecards accurately and on time.
  • Perform daily AM and PM opening and closing responsibilities.
JOB COMPLEXITY
  • Enroll families, maintain a waiting list, and ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate.
  • Oversee fiscal sustainability of the program.
  • Support staff in planning and implementing age-appropriate academic, STEM, recreation, SEL, arts & crafts, sports, and enrichment activities.
  • Attend site, school, and community functions as needed.
  • Oversee day-to-day in-person and distance learning activities while following contract requirements.
  • Reinforce strengths, address challenges, and support staff performance.
  • Coordinate in-person and distance learning activities appropriate for enrolled students.
  • Create and monitor student behavior and transitional plans when needed.
  • Ensure accurate attendance and snack documentation.
  • Ensure all administrative paperwork is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Work effectively across all program service areas for Agency wide effective communication and operations.
  • Under HR’s direction will participate in preparing and reviewing in any legal related matters.
STAFF SUPERVISION
  • Provide ongoing supervision, training, direction, and performance evaluation.
  • Delegate duties appropriately while offering direct support to maintain strong program performance.
  • Provide guidance to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Confirm staff timecards are accurate and approved promptly.
  • Meet monthly with staff for mentoring, feedback, and professional development.
  • Hold regular site and supervision meetings to ensure consistency and review policies.
COMMUNICATION
  • Maintain strong relationships with school personnel, parents, children, Harmonium staff, and internal teams.
  • Create and deliver presentations tailored to various audiences.
  • Maintain strong collaboration with the school site through regular communication.
  • Promote openings and full-day programming through school and community channels.
  • Create and share newsletters, calendars, forms, and other materials.
  • Hold meetings to distribute information and gather feedback.
AGENCY LEADERSHIP
  • Act as a role model for Klassic Kids staff.
  • Guide staff interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Provide input on Harmonium and program policies when requested.
  • Implement disciplinary procedures, including Employee Corrective Counseling, using strength-based support.
DECISION MAKING
  • Analyze and maintain ratios in alignment with ASES/ELOP regulations when scheduling and assigning staff.
  • Ensure decisions follow Harmonium/Klassic Kids policies, professional standards, contracts, and guidelines.
  • Offer input on fiscal matters and overall program operations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have 48 completed college units OR pass the District’s Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam (a basic math and literacy exam)
