Position Overview:
Part‑time adjunct or substitute instructor teaching construction technology courses. Candidates are added to a pool for future assignments on a semesterly basis.
- Develop and deliver instruction in lecture and lab settings according to curriculum and course outlines.
- Be available to students for academic support outside of class.
- Maintain professional conduct and ethics.
- Stay current on subject matter knowledge.
- Fulfill all professional responsibilities of a part‑time faculty member.
- Teach all scheduled classes and maintain accurate records.
- Create a learning environment that encourages discussion of ideas and interests.
- A Bachelor’s degree AND two (2) years of occupational experience related to the course subject, or an Associate degree AND six (6) years of occupational experience, or an equivalent combination.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Full‑time, clear California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in Building and Construction Trades (or equivalent).
