Job Description & How to Apply Below

You believe that refusing to lower standards is the most generous thing you can do for a student. You've performed, created, or succeeded at a level most people only observe from afar: elite competition, a distinguished degree from a top university, a position at a highly selective organization, or a venture you launched independently. Now imagine channeling that drive into a setting with K-12 students who have never encountered someone with your credentials willing to demand excellence they didn't realize was within reach.

If the idea of maintaining elite expectations for students feels unkind, this isn't the role for you.

Alpha deploys AI-driven 1-on-1 instruction so students complete core academics in roughly two hours daily. The remaining time is devoted to life skills, self-directed projects, and authentic development. At Alpha's most demanding campuses, students require more than oversight. They require a credible mentor whose personal track record embodies the standard: someone capable of assessing the environment, establishing norms, and guiding them through friction, distraction, and doubt.

Your role isn't instructional. AI delivers the academic content. Your role is to inspire, coach, and apply the same rigorous standards you've applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time is spent in direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching that identifies obstacles and defines ambitious targets. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery, not engagement. The final twenty percent is dedicated to morning kickoffs that establish a tone where mediocrity has no place.

The trajectory here emphasizes depth over advancement. You begin by mastering Alpha's approach and earning student trust. Within months, you become the person they allow to push them beyond perceived limits. The payoff isn't upward mobility. It's the privilege of accompanying the same students year after year as they mature with your guidance. It's witnessing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a confident presentation to adults in May.

This position remains student-centered. Students are the purpose, not a pathway to something else.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions leveraging Coachbot analytics and student performance data to identify obstacles, establish ambitious targets, and enforce accountability for execution
  • Facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery by drawing on credible narratives from your own elite background, then evaluating mastery via Alpha's Test2

    Pass framework
  • Establishing the performance culture each morning through focused kickoffs that reinforce high-achievement standards campus-wide
  • Monitoring student progress continuously and refining coaching approaches based on evidence, not intuition
  • Cultivating trusted mentor relationships with students and families by maintaining high expectations, reliability, and documented motivational strategies
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Delivering lessons, creating curriculum, or evaluating assignments — Alpha's AI-powered instructional model manages teaching; you manage motivation
  • Presenting to a classroom of 30 students (your focus is intensive coaching in small groups, not whole-class instruction)
  • Supervising other personnel or pursuing an administrative career path (this position centers on direct student influence, not organizational management)
  • Attending faculty meetings or dealing with institutional bureaucracy (your schedule remains student-focused)
  • Compromising standards to achieve targets (if a student reaches 99%, your task is identifying what prevented 100%)
