Sports / Activity Coach, Youth Development
You think the most compassionate act is to keep expectations uncompromising. Your background includes competition, achievement, or creation at a standard few ever reach: world-class athletics, a top university with honors, a highly competitive firm, or a company you launched yourself. Now imagine channeling that rigor into a K-12 setting where students have rarely encountered someone like you—someone who will push them toward benchmarks they never imagined hitting.
If maintaining elite standards feels too demanding, this is not for you.
Alpha relies on AI-driven 1-on-1 instruction to help students complete core academics in roughly two hours each day. The rest of the day opens up for life skills, passion projects, and meaningful development. At Alpha’s most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose personal accomplishments define the benchmark: someone who can gauge the environment, shape expectations, and guide them through doubt, distraction, and hesitation.
Your role is not to teach. AI manages the academic content. Your role is to inspire, coach, and enforce the same exacting standards you’ve applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time is spent in direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching that identifies obstacles and establishes ambitious targets. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life-skills sessions designed for mastery rather than engagement.
The final twenty percent is devoted to daily morning launches that set a cultural tone where mediocrity has no place.
The trajectory here emphasizes depth over hierarchy. You begin by mastering Alpha’s methods and earning student trust. Within a few months, you become the person they rely on to push them beyond perceived limits. The payoff isn’t a title change. It’s the same cohort, year over year, maturing with you as their anchor. It’s seeing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a poised presentation to a room of adults by May.
This position remains student-centered. Students are the purpose, not a platform for something else.
What You Will Be Doing- Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions using Coachbot analytics and student performance data to identify barriers, establish ambitious targets, and enforce accountability for execution

Pass framework - Establishing the campus cultural standard each morning through focused kickoff sessions that reinforce high-performance expectations
- Monitoring student progress continuously and refining coaching approaches based on data rather than intuition
- Cultivating trusted mentor relationships with students and families through consistent high standards and documented motivation strategies
- Delivering lessons, creating curriculum, or evaluating assignments — Alpha’s AI-powered academic platform manages instruction; you manage motivation
- Presenting to a full classroom of 30 students (your work centers on high-touch coaching in intimate groups, not mass instruction)
- Supervising other staff or advancing through an administrative track (this role focuses on direct student impact, not organizational promotion)
- Attending faculty meetings or dealing with institutional red tape (your schedule stays concentrated on students)
- Compromising standards to meet targets (if a student achieves 99%, your role is to determine what prevented 100%)
