Job Description & How to Apply Below

You understand that the most generous thing you can offer a student is an unwavering standard. Your background includes competition, creation, or accomplishment at a level most people only encounter through headlines: elite-level sports, a distinguished degree from a top university, a position at a highly competitive firm, or a company you founded and grew yourself. Now imagine channeling that rigor into a space filled with K-12 students who've never had access to someone like you—someone committed to raising them to benchmarks they didn't think were within reach.

If the idea of maintaining elite expectations feels too demanding, this isn't the right fit.

Alpha leverages AI-driven 1-on-1 instruction, enabling students to complete core academics in roughly two hours per day. The time saved opens the door to life skills, interest-led projects, and meaningful personal development. At Alpha's most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose personal track record defines what's possible: someone capable of assessing group dynamics, establishing culture, and guiding students through friction, distraction, and doubt.

Your role is not instructional. AI manages the academic delivery. Your responsibility is to inspire, coach, and enforce the same exacting standard you've applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time involves direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching to identify obstacles and set stretch goals. Another forty percent is dedicated to facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery rather than engagement. The final twenty percent focuses on morning kickoffs that create a campus culture where average performance is unacceptable.

The trajectory here emphasizes depth over scope. You begin by mastering Alpha's framework and earning student trust. Within months, you become the person they rely on to challenge them beyond self-imposed limits. The return isn't a title change. It's continuity with the same students, year after year, as they mature under your guidance. It's seeing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a confident presentation to a room of adults in May.

This position remains student-centered. Students are the objective, not a means to something else. If your motivation for changing jobs is the mission rather than the credential,

What You Will Be Doing
  • Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching using Coachbot analytics and student data to identify barriers, establish ambitious targets, and ensure accountability for execution
  • Facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery, drawing on compelling examples from your own high-level experience, and evaluating mastery through Alpha's Test2

    Pass framework
  • Establishing cultural expectations each morning via focused kickoffs that reinforce a high-performance environment across campus
  • Monitoring student progress continuously and refining coaching approaches based on data rather than intuition
  • Cultivating trusted mentor relationships with students and families by maintaining high standards, consistency, and clear motivation plans
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Delivering lessons, creating curriculum, or evaluating assignments — Alpha's AI academic platform manages instruction; your focus is motivation
  • Presenting to a full classroom of 30 students (your work centers on high-touch coaching in intimate groups, not large-format teaching)
  • Overseeing other employees or advancing through an administrative structure (this role prioritizes direct student outcomes, not organizational leadership)
  • Attending faculty meetings or dealing with institutional red tape (your schedule remains student-focused)
  • Reducing standards to satisfy performance indicators (if a student achieves 99%, your role is to uncover what prevented 100%)
