Lecturer Position – Spring 2027

Overview

The Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy at San Diego State University invites applications for a full‑time, multi‑academic year temporary faculty lecturer position, beginning January 19, 2027. The role supports the School’s Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Taxation programs.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Financial Accounting and, where required, Taxation.
  • Assist with service and co‑curricular activities, including student advising and program support.
  • Contribute to the School’s mission of inclusive excellence and collaborative scholarship.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching multiple accounting disciplines at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Evidence of scholarly publications and a commitment to scholarly activity.
  • Effective communication skills and a record of service to the academic community.
Salary & Start Date

Annual salary range: $110,000–$115,000. Position starts January 19, 2027. Employment is temporary and subject to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the California State University system and the California Faculty Association.
