Join our team and help support students with special needs in a rewarding and purpose-driven role. As an Instructional Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally in a supportive after‑school environment.
What You’ll DoProvide instructional and behavioral support to students under the supervision of the Special Education team
Assist teachers and staff with lesson reinforcement and classroom activities
Support students with personal care, mobility, and therapeutic needs, as directed by healthcare professionals
Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Help students build confidence, independence, and life skills

Minimum RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to comply with all professional standards and regulations
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
TB clearance: questionnaire, PPD, or chest x‑ray (if applicable)
Current Health Certificate (per state/contract requirements)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Interested in education, psychology, or healthcare fields
Strong communication and teamwork skills
The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
