Position Overview
Position title:
Lecturer in Public Health.
Salary range:
Starting at $92,609 and based on the University of California pay scales.
Application Window:

Appointees will comply with School and University instructions, deadlines, and policies regarding course scheduling. They may need to remain flexible with scheduling to accommodate limited classroom space during standard business hours. Courses will be taught in person on the UC San Diego main campus or at the partner site at Southwestern College in Chula Vista. Appointments may be part‑time or full‑time, for 1–3 classes per quarter and 1–3 quarters in duration in an academic year.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience teaching at least one public health‑related class; teaching assistant experience is acceptable.
Additional QualificationsAt the start of the appointment, applicants must hold a PhD, DrPH, other related terminal doctoral degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (for example, an MPH, RD).
Preferred QualificationsCandidate experience in research or practice relevant to the courses they will teach is preferred. Prior college‑level instructor‑of‑record teaching experience in public health is also preferred.
