HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/Medical Records:
Adjunct / Substitute Instructor POOL (college credit)

The San Diego Community College District invites applications for part‑time adjunct faculty in Health Information Technology and Medical Records. Positions are offered at various campuses and may include lecture and lab sessions scheduled as needed.

• Plan and deliver instruction in accordance with the established curriculum and course outlines.
• Be available to students outside of class for office hours and consultation.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
• Stay current in subject matter knowledge.
• Fulfill all professional responsibilities of part‑time faculty, including attendance at required meetings.
• Teach all scheduled classes and maintain accurate teaching records.
• Create an environment that encourages discussion of ideas, interests, and issues.

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution AND two (2) years of professional experience directly related to the assignment.
• Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution AND six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the assignment.
• Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds.
• Preferred:
  California Community College Instructor Credential in Office Services & Related Technologies (valid for life).
