Adjunct Faculty – Part‑time / Temporary

Compensation:
As per Adjunct College Salary Schedules, contingent upon official transcripts and verification of work experience.

• Teach assigned lecture and/or lab courses following curriculum and course outlines.
• Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum.
• Maintain professional conduct and ethics.
• Stay current in subject‑area knowledge.
• Be available to students outside class time as required.
• Maintain accurate records for all courses taught.
• Create an environment that encourages quality instruction and discussion.

• Minimum:
  Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience; OR associate degree and 6 years of experience; OR valid California Community College Instructor Credential in Special Education (Handicapped); OR equivalent.
• California Community College Instructor Credential in Special Education (Handicapped) – valid for life (if possessed).
• Foreign degrees must be evaluated by NACES or ACEI and a valuation submitted.

• Official transcripts, certificate of tuberculosis exam, live‑scan clearance, and proof of U.S. work eligibility must be completed before employment.
• Employment requires completion of the “Request for Equivalency Form” if qualifications are not yet met.

Part‑time positions offer flexible hours and opportunities across the district. Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, and/or off‑campus classes. Applicants must live within commuting distance to San Diego.
