Job DescriptionThe San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the position of substitute (hourly) Special Education Bus Monitors . This opportunity is open to all interested candidates.

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Special Education Bus Monitor will provide supervision and assistance to special education students at bus stops and in buses while traveling to and from a special program or school.

Location:
Various locations - The District covers a large portion of San Diego County. Refer to the District Area Map at this Link and make sure to identify any and all specific area(s) you are interested in working in. The area(s) you identify in your application will be used for any future vacancies filled using the eligibility list from this recruitment.
- These assignments are on an on-call basis and do not qualify for regular salaried positions with the district. Substitute hourly assignments are not eligible for benefits and flexibility is a must.
- This position falls on the PARA Salary Schedule, Salary Range 024 with an hourly rate of $19.66.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to graduation from high school.
NOTE:
Your related education and experience must be clearly represented in the work history and education section of your application.
Licenses and Other Requirements:
Completion of in-service training in care of students with disabilities, transportation regulations, safety, and bus evacuation procedures during work hours or paid professional development during non-work hours.
