Job DescriptionThe San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Library Assistant at Golden Hill TK-5 Dual Language Immersion School. This opportunity is open to all interested candidates. This list will be good for three months with the possibility to be extended.

Candidates considered for positions that require bilingual skills will be invited to a Performance Test (Qualifying Only) for oral and written fluency. Bilingual positions qualify for a 5% bilingual differential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience:
High School diploma/GED and a passing score on the San Diego Unified School District Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam (CAPE) or an Associate’s degree (or higher) or 48 or more eligible units of coursework at a recognized college or university. Completion of post high school courses in Psychology, Early Childhood Development, Elementary Education, Special Education, or related field is desirable.

Personal appearance and language patterns will provide a satisfactory example to pupils.
Some positions may require conversational and/or written skills in a specific foreign language related to the needs of the assignment.
