This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite in La Jolla and remote.

UC San Diego Health Sciences' mission is to deliver outstanding patient care through commitment to the community, groundbreaking research and inspired teaching.

The division of Medical Education within the UC San Diego School of Medicine consists of the following units:
Undergraduate Medical Education, Admissions & Student Affairs, Diversity and Community Partnerships, Graduate Medical Education, Continuing Medical Education & Faculty Development, Simulation Education, Physician Assistant Education, Anatomical Services, Business Affairs and Educational Technology. The division supports the education, training and co-curricular activities of approximately 560 medical students, 90 physician assistant students, 1000 residents and fellows as well as the faculty, physician and healthcare providers at UCSD’s School of Medicine, its' Medical Centers, and affiliates.

Under the general supervision of the administrative Associate Director of Preclinical Curriculum and in consultation with department leadership, works with a high degree of independence and applies in-depth knowledge of School of Medicine and Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) requirements to coordinate curriculum planning, course operations, educational technology, and digital accessibility initiatives. Serves as a key member of the UGME team and coordinates the planning, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of courses, curriculum processes, learning management systems, educational technologies, and digital learning resources supporting the medical education program.

Applies knowledge of curricular requirements, course sequencing, learner progression, instructional resources, and other operational considerations to support curriculum planning and delivery. Coordinates course planning and implementation, instructional and learner scheduling, educational data management, learner compliance tracking, curriculum communications, educational resource management, and accreditation-related activities. Evaluates operational and curricular needs, identifies scheduling or resource conflicts, recommends appropriate alternatives or solutions, and ensures the accuracy and integrity of curricular information across multiple educational systems.

Works collaboratively with faculty, course directors, curriculum leadership, Deans and Directors, administrative partners, and technology teams to coordinate instructional activities, resolve operational issues, implement process improvements, and support the effective delivery of the undergraduate medical education curriculum. Provides consultation, training, and ongoing support to faculty and staff regarding curriculum processes, learning management systems, educational technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
