Adjunct Surgical Technology Theory Instructor (2–3 days per week, 8:00a.m. – 1:00p.m.). The instructor delivers theory‑based education that prepares students with the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors required for entry‑level practice in the surgical technology profession. The instructor reports to the Surgical Technology Program Director and works under direction to ensure a high‑quality educational experience.

• Teach assigned Surgical Technology theory courses in accordance with approved curriculum, course objectives, and program outcomes.
• Deliver engaging classroom instruction through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, case studies, and technology‑enhanced learning activities.
• Provide instruction in areas including surgical procedures and terminology, surgical instrumentation and equipment, aseptic technique and infection prevention, operating room practices and safety standards, surgical patient care concepts, pharmacology and anesthesia considerations, and professional ethics and communication in the healthcare environment.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, presentations, assignments, and assessments aligned with program objectives.
• Administer, evaluate, and maintain records of quizzes, exams, assignments, and other student assessments.
• Provide timely feedback and academic support to promote student success.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.
• Identify student learning needs and provide additional support or remediation when appropriate.
• Maintain current knowledge of surgical technology practices, industry standards, and healthcare trends.
• Assist with the selection and review of textbooks, instructional resources, and course materials.
• Serve as a professional role model by promoting professionalism, ethical conduct, accountability, and workplace expectations.
• Participate in faculty meetings, program activities, training sessions, and curriculum review as assigned.
• Collaborate with the Program Director and faculty to support program effectiveness and student achievement.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and comply with institutional policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to effectively teach adult learners in a classroom environment.
