Part‑time/temporary faculty positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students. Positions are as‑needed and applicants should live within commuting distance to San Diego. Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, or off‑campus classes.

• Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
• Teach all scheduled classes and maintain accurate records.
• Be available to students outside of class and maintain appropriate professional conduct and ethics.
• Maintain current knowledge in subject matter areas.
• Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member.
• Create an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages discussion of ideas and issues.

• Master’s degree in Dance, Physical Education with a dance emphasis, or Theater with a dance emphasis; OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Physical Education with a dance emphasis, or Theater with a dance emphasis AND Master’s degree in Physical Education, any Life Science, Physiology, Theater Arts, Kinesiology, Humanities, Performing Arts, or Music; OR
• Equivalent qualifications.
• Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds.

All applicants must have demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity, and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and classified professionals.

• Submit official college transcripts.
• Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam (renewed every 4 years).
• Undergo Live Scan fingerprinting at district’s expense; clearance required prior to first day.
• Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
