Job Description The Clinical PSYD Program in San Diego follows a Practitioner-Scholar model that emphasizes the applications of theory and research to clinical practice. The program develops competent professional health-care psychologists skilled in delivering a variety of clinical services to diverse populations in varied settings. The program's most distinctive component is its dual emphasis on clinical expertise and clinical scholarship. Students take courses in a wide range of subjects, including statistics, theories of personality, psychological assessment, multicultural issues, and psychological practice.

Students may follow their own clinical interests and further their individual career goals by selecting a specialized series of courses, research, and field placements related to a particular area of practice.

Applicants to this position will be considered for a candidate pool encompassing one or more of the subject areas outlined in the job description. This pool will be used to identify qualified candidates for potential appointments during the 2026–2027 academic year. Salary Range: $39 - $46 hourly (based on course requirements & level of education). This is a temporary, non-benefits eligible role.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

Doctoral or other terminal degree in Psychology or associated field, from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Appropriate experience in the areas(s) of specialization and expertise Certifications, Licenses, etc.:
Clinical Psychology license required for clinical courses.

Fall 2026 (Aug. 17, 2026 – Dec. 20, 2026) PSY
60300 Advanced Statistics The objective of this 3-unit course is to understand applied research methodology, evaluate and synthesize psychological research literature, and apply both to clinical challenges. The course will provide an overview of the major statistical tools employed in contemporary behavioral science research and program evaluation. Topics surveyed will be the philosophy of science and scientific method; descriptive and inferential statistics;

univariate and multivariate analysis of variance and co-variance (one-way and factorial); regression techniques; principal and (exploratory and confirmatory) factor analysis; power calculation and corrections for multiple comparisons.
