Salary range: A reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $134,100-$158,900. The posted UC Academic Salary Scales set the minimum pay as determined by rank and/or step  the Table for the salary scale for this position.

The base salary range from the salary table for this position is $84,1300-$108,900. "Off-scale salaries" and other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions, qualifications, and experience. The Department of Mathematics, within the Division of Physical Sciences at the University of California, San Diego, invites applications for a new tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Mathematical Statistics and closely related areas. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated strengths in both research and teaching.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on UC pay scales. The starting date for the position is July 1, 2027. This position is subject to availability of funding.
