Position:
Adjunct / Substitute Instructor (non-credit). This part‑time/temporary faculty position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students.

• Primary duties involve curriculum and teaching, with a mix of lecture and lab classes.
• Provide instruction in accordance with the established curriculum and course outlines.
• Maintain professional conduct and ethics.
• Keep current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
• Fulfill all professional responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member.
• Teach all scheduled classes and maintain accurate records.
• Create an environment that encourages student discussion and learning.

Degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics, Life Management, Family and Consumer Studies, Dietetics, Food Management, Interior Design, or Clothing and Textiles;
• Associate degree in the same fields AND four (4) years of professional experience related to the subject of the course taught;
• Equivalent foreign degree with a professional equivalency evaluation; and
• Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of community college students.
