USA Government Jobs - - Responsibilities:
Install, modify, and replace generation and distribution equipment in substations, power generating facilities, transformer vaults, and/or distribution centers;
Maintain, replace, test and reset circuit breakers in switch and substations, including shore installations;
Splice wires by removing insulation, scraping clean, twisting together and soldering, or connecting conductors with mechanical connectors;
Troubleshoot distribution circuits and generating and controlling equipment to locate and correct outages and improper operation;
Check condition of transformers, switches, and cables; test insulating oil for breakdown and contamination
