100 gas turbine equipment is hiring an Operations & Maintenance Technician II to start, stop, and monitor plant equipment, perform plant maintenance and repair, and support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This is a senior level position requiring hands on control room and field experience in a simple or combined cycle power plant.

Schedule Full time, with availability required for night, overtime, weekend, and holiday work as needed. Occasional travel may be required.

Compensation $45 to $60 per hour, based on experience.

What You'll DoThe Operations & Maintenance Technician II will start, stop, and monitor plant equipment, reading gauges and meters and recording activities in operating logs and records, while using computers and monitoring equipment to measure, record, and adjust operating parameters within safe limits. This person will diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, perform overhaul maintenance and system improvement tasks, and assist in developing operational procedures and operator training modules.

The role includes performing complex technical support duties requiring specialized operational knowledge, making decisions on non-routine or escalated technical issues, and working under limited to no supervision while meeting contract sales agreement requirements within safe and reliable equipment operating limits. This person will ensure strict adherence to safety, NERC, and environmental procedures, ensure compliance with ISO notifications, and communicate with the Balancing Authority using three way communication.

Additional responsibilities include performing control room and outside operation of all station equipment during routine, abnormal, and emergency conditions, performing start up, operation, monitoring, shutdown, and lock out of plant auxiliary equipment, operating plant mobile equipment such as forklifts and man lifts, performing chemical analysis on plant water systems including boiler water, demineralized water, condensate water, feedwater, cooling water, and raw water, and operating and maintaining a reverse osmosis system and cation and anion bed demineralizing system.

This person will also perform maintenance and upkeep of site buildings and grounds, prepare and maintain reports and documentation, and use Word and Excel to communicate with the facility marketing team and update reports.

Required Qualifications High school diploma, technical or vocational school degree, military service, or equivalent
10+ years of directly related experience, including understanding of environmental and safety regulations and previous experience as a senior level plant operator

Experience working with and around hazardous energy, chemicals, and waste materials

Previous experience using testing equipment and calibration appliances

Familiarity with NERC requirements for operating a simple or combined cycle power plant

Basic computer knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point Ability  to read and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, procedures, and technical manuals

Valid U.S. driver's license with acceptable MVR history, if applicable

Preferred Qualifications Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two year college, trade school certification, or advanced education in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation

Mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation and controls experience

Basic certifications or licensures relevant to plant operations
