We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineering (EE) Supervisor to join our Electrical Technologies Electrical Design and Prototyping team located in Rancho Bernardo. We are seeking a driven and talented individual with experience working alongside technician teams and maintain engineering labs and clean rooms in a fast-paced research and development environment. The successful candidate will report to the Electrical Design and Prototyping Supervisor and, alongside high-caliber engineering management staff, will be engaged in engineering support of assembly, integration and test for high-power electromagnetic systems, directed energy systems, advanced airborne sensors, space systems and satellites, and a variety of other technologies in the expanding product portfolio of GA-EMS.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Lead and develop a team of 5-10 engineering technicians driving continuous improvement in their skills and career progression.

* Coordinate the maintenance and enhancement of Class > 1000 clean rooms used for the development of various laser and electronic systems. Lead infrastructure improvement projects for clean rooms and electrical engineering laboratories.

* Lead activities for engineering project(s) including planning, resource allocation and managing technical performance to ensure quality, business, and financial objectives are attained.
* Implement current, annual, and long-term technical, schedule, quality, business, and financial objectives for the engineering unit and may also participate in the development of Group/Company objectives.
* Interact internally with the engineering team and/or with suppliers, vendors or customers to share information and for basic problem resolution. May act as primary contact for engineering activities.
* May participate in the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract(s).
* Ensure technical leadership and excellence is maintained by participating in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of the required management, professional, and technical talent.
* Identify engineering issues and provide leadership in developing solutions such as re-allocation of resources or task deconfliction for technicians between programs

* May participate in the development of new business opportunities and expansion of existing business opportunities.
* Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
* Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

* Typically requires a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in engineering or a related technical field as well as six or more years of progressively complex engineering experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
