Overview
Noblis MSD’s mission is to support NAVSEA and NSWCPD in research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. This role focuses on equipment validation on Naval ships and carriers as part of the logistics process. This position will be based out of San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities- Perform on-site support during ship alterations, overhauls, and repair evolutions related to HM&E systems.
- Utilize established documents to support acquiring material that has a Long Lead Time, is obsolete, or is out of stock. Conduct focused research supporting part identification and its alternative/equivalent/replacement.
- Interpret information from databases/sources:
Assist, Cage, Configuration, Cortel Library (drawings and Technical Manuals), Fed Mall, Logi Quest, Military Specifications, NAVSUP, One Touch Support, PRIME, Surface Ship Support Center (SSSC), TDMIS, Web Flis, and others. - Crosscheck collected information, record errors, and propose updates to the appropriate personnel.
- Suggest changes to a Technical Manual via the submission of a Technical Manual Deficiency Evaluation Report (TMDER).
- Make recommendations in the procurement, repair, or replacement of items (actuators, bearings, capstans, controllers, lighting, motors, pumps, valves, windows, etc.) during a ship’s scheduled or unscheduled maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineers, logisticians, and program leads to support technical execution of field work in accordance with Navy maintenance and modernization protocols by providing options to Maintenance Teams, Manufacturers, Planning Yard, Repair Shops, Surface Fleet, Suppliers, SURFLANT, Vendors, etc. to Fleet Operations.
- Adhere to Navy safety, security, and configuration management standards during all shipboard and facility-based work activities.
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of hands-on experience working with U.S. Navy shipboard systems and equipment OR an Associate's degree with 6 years of experience OR High School diploma with 9 years of experience.
- Working experience with U.S. Navy Shipboard systems and equipment.
- Experience planning and scheduling shipboard work activities, including material tracking and coordination with shipyard or field activities.
- U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain an interim clearance before starting).
- Physical requirement: ability to climb ladders on carriers.
- Active Secret clearance preferred.
- NAVSEA Ship Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Familiarization.
- Use of shipboard test equipment and tools.
- Access to Assist, Cage, CDMD-OA, Deck Plate, Fed Mall, MBPS, One Touch, Priority Material Office, Surface Ship Support Center (SSSC), Web Flis.
- Experience in identifying material and logistics requirements for ship alteration and repair.

Compensation is based on education, certifications, experience, location, and contract requirements. The projected salary range for this position is USD $59,200.00 – $92,575.00 per year.
