This position is hybrid located in San Diego, CA and typically requires on-site work of 3 days per week (Tues/Wed/Thur).
Duties & Responsibilities- Develop and maintain system architecture models using SysML and MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo/Magic Draw, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect)
- Facilitate the development of Black Box and White Box models in accordance with DoD and NAVWAR standards
- Work closely with program engineering teams to develop questionnaires to identify what data is available for each program that can feed into a model, then help match programs with the appropriate MBSE automation tool(s) and enter data into the appropriate MBSE tool.
- Integrate MBSE approaches with traditional systems engineering practices and digital engineering frameworks
- Translate stakeholder requirements into system models and technical specifications
- Participate in or lead technical reviews, model-based design efforts, and system verification/validation planning
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and integration teams to align models with implementation and testing
- Support DoD acquisition documentation and milestone reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR)
- Ensure models comply with DoD standards (e.g., DoDAF, UAF, MIL-STD-881, NIST 800-160 Vol 1/2)
- Prepare technical documentation and present modeling results to stakeholders, including government clients
- Maintain configuration control of models and support versioning and reuse strategies

- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering with at least 2 years in MBSE roles.
- Proficiency in MBSE tools such as Cameo/Magic Draw, Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect.
- Experience with Black Box and White Box modeling and development.
- Experience with SysML and formal modeling techniques including Black and White Box Models.
- Familiarity with DoD systems lifecycle (DoDI 5000.02, JCIDS, etc.) and C4I engineering processes.
- Experience supporting DoD programs (Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, or OSD).
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Bachelor's in systems engineering, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information.
