In this position, you will join our global team of specialists and work directly with clients to ensure satisfaction and be responsible for making key technical decisions in collaboration with senior design staff. You will manage large multidisciplinary projects with external partners for the bridge and tunnel engineering sector, liaising with clients, technical managers, financial staff, and other departments to manage overall project deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
The position will require both your highly developed Project Management skills and effective technical skills and will provide you with opportunities to grow and develop your leadership skills.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Project management of marine projects including NAVFAC task orders, Port of San Francisco, Port of Oakland
- Financial oversight of assigned projects and commercial management
- Assess project resources in relation to project requirements and coordinate with Head of Disciplines and resource managers for staffing needs
- Mentor deputy project managers and project members on technical delivery, client management, and resource leveling
- Participation in corporate visibility in the Southern California area including conferences, industry events, networking opportunities
- Support COWI growth initiative in Southern California market by supporting visibility and recruiting efforts
- Participate in Business Development for the emerging Southern California Market. Participate in West Coast BD meetings with focus on marine pursuits in Southern California.

On top of that, you will:
- Hold a Master of Science or higher degree in Coastal, Civil or Structural Engineering and be a registered Professional Engineer in the home state
- Have a minimum of 7 years experience with waterfront structures and a minimum of 3 years experience in business development
- Be an established and demonstrated Project Management and technical leader
- Possess the capacity to create proposals and evaluate contract conditions
- Be self-motivated, able to manage shifting priorities, and capable of handling multiple tasks in an evolving environment
- Be able and willing to travel up to 25% of the time as this role requires fieldwork
- Be able to work with staff located remotely around the world.
