Position: Staff/Principal Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a Staff or Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and productization of electrical systems across next-generation medical devices and connected platforms. This role will shape the direction of our electrical innovation and contribute to multiple breakthrough programs.

The level (Staff or Principal) will be determined based on experience, technical leadership, and ability to drive system architecture across multiple initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Define and own system-level electrical architecture from concept through commercialization
  • Lead end-to-end electrical design and development across the full product lifecycle
  • Design and develop precision analog, mixed-signal, and embedded systems for FDA-regulated medical devices
  • Develop low-noise, low-power signal acquisition systems and robust sensor integration solutions
  • Optimize designs for signal integrity, EMI/EMC performance, reliability, and ultra-low-power operation
  • Lead hands-on prototyping, debugging, and system-level integration efforts
  • Drive PCB design reviews and collaborate on layout to ensure performance, DFM, and DFT excellence
  • Support EVT/DVT/PVT builds and transition to manufacturing in collaboration with contract manufacturers
  • Contribute to risk management activities (ISO 14971), including hazard analysis and mitigation through design controls
  • Lead electrical design verification and validation activities, including test method development, protocol authorship, fixture design, data analysis, and formal reporting
  • Support EMC, safety, and regulatory pre-compliance testing efforts
  • Implement and support embedded firmware development for communications, sensor interfaces, and system control
  • Stay current with industry standards, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliant and future-ready designs
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, regulatory, quality, and clinical teams to ensure system alignment
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to strengthening Neoenta’s electrical engineering capabilities
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with internal stakeholders, clients, and vendors
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required;
    Master’s degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in medical device development, preferably in FDA-regulated environments
  • Demonstrated experience leading electrical architecture for complex medical or wearable systems
  • Strong background in precision analog and mixed-signal circuit design
  • Experience with physiological sensing, low-noise signal acquisition, or advanced sensor integration preferred
  • Embedded firmware development experience
  • Experience integrating wireless technologies (e.g., BLE, Wi-Fi, cellular) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of power management and battery-operated system design
  • Experience developing products under FDA Design Controls and quality systems (21 CFR 820 / ISO 13485)
  • Familiarity with IEC 60601, IEC 62304, IEC 62366, and related medical device standards
  • Experience with risk management processes
  • Proven experience leading design verification and validation activities
  • Advanced proficiency with PCB design and layout tools (e.g., Altium or equivalent)
  • Experience reviewing and guiding multilayer PCB layout for signal integrity, EMC, thermal performance, and manufacturability
  • Simulation experience
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional product development environment
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to support clients, partners, and vendors
