$35 39/hour

2-Year Contract (High likelihood of Full-Time conversion)

100% Onsite Monday Friday

6:30/7:00 AM 3:30/4:00 PM PST

About the Company

Our client is a large, established utilities and infrastructure organization supporting essential electric operations across the region. The Metro District oversees construction and field operations teams that work closely with engineering, compliance, and frontline responders to ensure safe, reliable service delivery.

About the Role

This is a newly created, pilot position within the Metro District reporting into Engineering leadership.

The Engineering Operations Coordinator will support cross-functional operations between Engineering, Construction, Compliance (Claims), and Electric Troubleshooter teams.

This is a high-visibility role requiring strong coordination skills, technical office experience, and the ability to manage shifting operational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage scheduling and coordination for Electric Troubleshooters (frontline field responders)
  • Track and process damage reports in partnership with Engineering and Claims/Compliance teams
  • Coordinate job assignments and support operational workflow alignment
  • Maintain documentation and ensure accurate tracking of reports and follow-ups
  • Take notes and document action items during safety and technical meetings
  • Support engineering and technical office staff with administrative and operational requests
  • Prioritize and manage workload across multiple departments
  • Serve as a liaison between union personnel, field employees, and office leadership

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5 8+ years of experience in a technical, engineering, construction, or utilities office environment
  • Experience supporting engineering or operations teams preferred
  • Background in project coordination or project management strongly preferred
  • Experience coordinating field or frontline personnel
  • Comfortable working with union employees and cross-functional groups
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word required)
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Strong written communication and professional meeting documentation skills
