Structural Engineer; Entry Level

Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level
Structural Engineer to join our San Diego office. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, eager to grow with a multidisciplinary engineering team, and ready to work in a collaborative environment.

• Expected Base Salary: $80,000.00 to $88,000.00, depending on education, experience, and licensure.
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
• Competitive end‑of‑year discretionary bonus based on company, team, and personal performance.
• Hybrid work schedule (subject to change).
• 401k with a maximum of 5% contribution matching, 9% employee contribution.

• Perform structural analysis and design of structural members such as beams, columns, walls, joists, and foundations.
• Develop structural models that mathematically define and idealize the actual structure being designed.
• Use approved codes and standards to define structural demands on buildings due to wind and seismic loadings.
• Analyze and design connections of the various structural elements in a building structure.
• Perform analysis needed to evaluate seismic risk in existing buildings using approved structural codes and standards.
• Assist in managing BIM and production efforts.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.

• Able to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
• Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
• Able to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Excellent leadership, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
• Able to work independently as well as on teams.
• Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.

• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering required.
• Registration as an E.I.T required.
• Internship in the structural design of buildings or similar structures preferred.
• Experience with computer analysis software systems.
