Job OverviewWe are searching for mechanically inclined individuals to join our Field Service team. In this role, you will complete planned and reactive service operations on our generators, maintaining uptime, availability, and performance for deployed units. You will train at our headquarters in Menlo Park, CA, then be assigned to a service region requiring travel. We offer full benefits including vacation, sick time, 401(k), and pre-IPO stock options.
Responsibilities- Mechanically repair and maintain components and assemblies per procedures and checklists.
- Collaborate with engineers to fix, repair, and redesign components.
- Conduct mechanical inspections and document condition information.
- Be available to work rotational on-call shifts as scheduled.
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical assembly/repair experience; automotive, aviation, or heavy equipment backgrounds are a plus.
- Experience using precision tools (.001 inches) and documenting repairs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear required PPE.
- Knowledge of basic tools and torque specifications.
- Follow written and verbal work instructions on site.
- Strong communication skills; knowledge of Google Workspace is a plus.
- Team player, self-motivated, and safety oriented.
- Valid driver’s license required;
Class A preferred.
$26 - $35 an hour
This position is onsite in San Diego, CA. Salary will be adjusted for local market and experience.
