Civil Public Works Infrastructure

A respected civil engineering consulting firm is seeking a senior-level Civil Project Engineer / Project Manager to lead public works and municipal infrastructure projects in the San Diego area.

This role is strictly focused on civil public works infrastructure .
Structural engineering or vertical building backgrounds will not be considered.
Responsibilities

• Lead civil public works infrastructure projects from planning through construction
• Manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, and scopes of work
• Serve as primary contact for cities, counties, and public agencies
• Supervise and mentor civil engineering and design staff
• Oversee preparation of public improvement plans and construction documents
• Provide construction support and agency coordination

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• California PE (active or able to obtain within 6 months)
• 8+ years of civil engineering experience
• 3+ years managing engineering staff
• Strong background in municipal / public works infrastructure
• Experience working directly with public agencies

Technical Focus

• Public works & municipal infrastructure

• Roadways, utilities, storm drainage

• Public improvement plans & agency approvals

Structural engineering, building design, or vertical construction experience is not a fit.
