Position: Product Development Technician - Entry Level (Not Engineers, This is a technician role)
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 12 Months contract

Note- This is a technician role and the goal is to have people who are experienced in the lab using lab type equipment, not engineers.
- Minimum education requirement is high school diploma, experience in a lab environment (corporate or school) or technician experience in a regulated environment, experience following written procedures
- We are seeking a Product Development Tech for our San Diego, CA facility.
- This person contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks and develops solutions to routine technical problems of specified Scope.
- Their contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the unit.
- Provides completion of technical tasks.
- Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
- Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering document, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams and schematics)
- Prepares reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis
- Helps scope equipment for use and complete qualifications
- Works with team to organize lab functions; including calibration
- Notifies manager upon recognition of factors that may affect project
- Helps develop prototype processes and test set‑ups
- Executes designed test protocol and conducts testing
- Effectively documents and communicates test results
- Supports hardware debugging
- Minimum Requirement: A combination of equivalent education and experience or a minimum of training beyond high school or secondary school in a technical discipline with more than 2 years relevant experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures
- The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group is critical
- Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope
- Proficiency in personal computers
- Ability to train lower-level technicians and operators
