Job Description Stormwater Resource Engineer (3 years min applicable experience)
Seeking a mid-level Stormwater Resource Engineer. Tasks will include performing all duties relative to stormwater resource including hydrology/hydraulics, stormwater treatment/hydro modification, and construction phase BMP preparation. You will join a team of professional engineers who provide support for project managers on various projects.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare Drainage Studies including but not limited to hydrologic calculations, hydraulics, inlet sizing, street capacity calculations, detention basin routing, and open channel calculations (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS).
- Prepare Technical Storm Water Reports such as SWQMPs and HMP reports complying with local San Diego co-permitee requirements.
- Coordinate report preparation for a variety of projects with the project managers, with a focus on drainage design, storm water management, water quality modeling, hydro modification modeling, low impact development (LID) design, and Green Streets applications as necessary for regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate internally with project managers as well externally with proprietary vendors for stormwater facility implementation.
- Prepare SWPPP and Erosion Control Plans including processing NOIs and WDID compliance and assists clients with the SMARTS processing and NOT processing at project completion.

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Water Resources, or Drainage
- 2-3 years of experience
- Experience with Hydrology, Water Quality, and Drainage design in AutoCAD
- Experience with the following programs:
AutoCAD, Advanced Engineering Software (AES), HEC-RAS, Civil3d - Experience working in Land Development, drainage, hydrology, hydraulics
- Experience preparing and running studies/projects (cannot only be reviewing) - EIT in California or PE in California is a huge Plus
- Knowledge of HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, WSPG, SDHM, BMP Sizing Calculator and SWQMP worksheets relative to San Diego County permit tees
- Experience working in Land Development on large Master Plans (or smaller projects like 50-100 lots)
