Based in our Bay Area office, the Senior Engineer will provide a lead technical role in developing transportation projects such as bridges, retaining walls, underground structures, transit stations, and other civil structures.
Responsibilities- Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed final designs using industry‑standard analysis and design software.
- Actively participate in project, client, and team meetings.
- Assist and mentor junior staff.
- Review, prepare, and modify designs.
- Analyze and prepare studies, reports, specifications, quantities, and estimates.
- Coordinate work with technicians and design professionals from other disciplines.
- Attend on‑site meetings.
- Gain exposure to project, commercial, and client management.
- Implement a digital‑by‑default approach in deliverables.

- A bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
- Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience.
- Experience with AASHTO, Caltrans, AREMA, ASCE, and CBC design codes and standards.
- Experience with California seismic analysis and design.
- Proficiency in designing cast‑in‑place reinforced concrete, precast/pre‑stressed concrete, post‑tensioned concrete, and structural steel foundations.
- Methodical problem‑solving approach to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to liaise confidently with clients and team members.
- Excellent technical written communication and attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate drawings and reports.
- Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within one year.
- Positive attitude, strong commitment to technical excellence, high ethical standards, and eagerness to learn and perform a variety of tasks.

- Salary ranges by location:
San Jose $160,000–$195,000;
San Diego $146,000–$178,000;
Los Angeles $148,000–$181,000.
