Lead Marine Gas Turbine Inspector; MGTI

Sayres is seeking an experienced Lead Marine Gas Turbine Inspector (MGTI) in San Diego, CA with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS.

The Lead Marine Gas Turbine Inspector serves as the senior technical authority for gas turbine propulsion inspections supporting Navy surface ship readiness assessments.

• Lead gas turbine inspections and engineering evaluations.
• Assess propulsion plant material condition and maintenance effectiveness.
• Review inspection findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Mentor inspectors and ensure consistency of inspection standards.
• Prepare readiness reports and technical assessments.

• Minimum 15 years supervisory experience.
• Minimum two tours as a Navy Marine Gas Turbine Inspector.
• Extensive EOOW experience aboard gas turbine ships.
• Extensive Navy technical management experience.
• Direct operational and maintenance experience within the past five years.
• Experience equivalent to Navy MGTI certification.
• 25+ years highly desirable.

Occasional travel may be required, primarily based in San Diego, CA, with occasional travel to Navy fleet concentration areas including Everett, WA;
Pearl Harbor, HI;
Sasebo, Japan;
Yokosuka, Japan; and Singapore, as well as other customer locations as required.

$90,000–$140,000, commensurate with experience. Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
