General Summary

Product and Test Engineering (PTE) is looking for Digital Test Engineers who will create test solutions in support of New Product Introduction (Silicon Validation and Characterization) and Manufacturing Enablement of Qualcomm Silicon on Chip (SOC) products.

Growth and Specialization Opportunities
  • IP:
    Microprocessors, HSIO, Logic, Memory
  • DFT/DFM:
    Yield Management, Diagnostics, Test Time, etc.
  • AI / Machine Learning:
    Software Development, Algorithmic Models, ATE test development using AI, Analytic reviews with Design and DFT.
  • Adjacent disciplines:
    Collaborate with packaging teams on 2.5D/3D IC testing, Thermal test analysis, photonic integrated circuits “PICs”, integrated RF/photonic devices, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Optics/Photonics or related field.
  • Knowledge of Python, Java, and Linux.
  • Experience working with common test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers).
  • Knowledge of signal integrity and transmission line theory.
  • 3+ years of Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • 1-2 years industry experience on Advantest 93K or Teradyne UFlex/IFlex as Product, Test Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Coursework in Digital Logic, Computer Architecture, VLSI design, Semiconductor Physics, Statistics, Programming Languages (C++, Java, Python), Digital Communications, Wireless Communications.
  • FPGA programming and embedded software development for optical subsystem prototyping.
  • Familiarity with active and passive photonic devices such as semiconductor lasers, modulators (MZMs), photodiodes, RF and photonic waveguide-based devices.
  • Understanding of optical communication system metrics such as OSNR, receiver sensitivity, optical modulation index, and optical filtering.
  • Industrial experience supporting high‑volume production of leading‑edge semiconductor devices and EIC/PIC products.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Master’s or PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optics.
