Job OverviewOur Engineering Team is seeking a hybrid Product Systems Engineer. You would be responsible for performing system designs, providing implementation support, and overseeing verification and validation of system‑level products from concept through manufacturing, software release, and customer support.
Responsibilities- Work with Business Development and Product Management to clearly identify product and program requirements and features, including technical proposal support and customer presentations.
- Lead system design/architecture development for complex communications systems across RF, PHY, MAC, Networking, and Application layers.
- Decompose system requirements into subsystem requirements for efficient implementation in hardware, FPGA, DSP, and microprocessor‑based subsystems.
- Work with HW and manufacturing teams to define manufacturing test and calibration requirements and identify critical process parameters.
- Ensure system level designs support secure, reliable, low‑maintenance, user‑friendly operation.
- Work with program management and engineering leads to define implementation milestones, schedules, and budgets, and provide timely status updates.
- Work closely with subsystem leads to ensure that requirements are understood, well communicated, and complete; support detailed design questions from developers.
- Work with system test leadership to develop an integration and validation strategy to verify system‑level product requirements.
- Continuously identify implementation risks and issues and prioritize work to minimize project impacts.
- Support system‑level debugging efforts to resolve complex issues efficiently.
- Oversee manufacturing ramp and monitor critical production data to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Oversee software product validation to ensure requirements are met.
- Provide technical ownership and support to assigned company products.
- Provide hands‑on technical support to business team and customers for product trials and demonstrations.
- Lead demonstrations of emerging products and technologies throughout the product development process.
- Stay current on leading communications system technologies and best industry practices.
- Author and present technical white papers at customer and industry events.
- Act as a resource/expert; mentor, review, and direct other engineering staff.
- Develop and maintain relationships built on trust and respect.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field. Master’s degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience with a broad multidisciplinary technical background. Industry work experience desired.
- Practical experience with military or commercial wireless products (e.g., GSM, CDMA, LTE, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, SRW, WNW, MUOS, Link‑16).
- Strong experience in HW/SW product integration, debugging, verification, and validation.
- Familiarity with HW, SW, Product Test, and/or Manufacturing disciplines.
- Familiarity with RF systems, digital modem function, and MAC/Networking protocols.
- Familiarity with digital hardware, embedded real‑time firmware development, and security algorithms.
- Ability to abstract complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and interact with diverse engineering teams.
- Strong collaborative drive, interpersonal skills, and proactive work ethic.

Salary: $115,000 - $185,000 USD.
