General Summary
This individual independently plans, performs the moderately‑defined responsibilities for designing, standardizing, implementing, verifying, validating, and commercializing Wireless WAN (or cellular) air interface and modem technologies. They create prototypes, specifications, products, or components within a product. The role requires expertise in WWAN specifications and involves designing, optimizing, and implementing software for advanced wireless systems and modems. The candidate works closely with other functional groups to develop a cost‑effective, high‑quality, high‑capability air interface and modem that meets industry and customer requirements with high performance (capacity, coverage, throughput, latency, power consumption) and acceptable cost (silicon area, calibration complexity, code size).
They also act as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.
Master’s degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus five (5) years of progressive experience in a related occupation.
