Summary:

The Qualcomm Graphics System Team is responsible for the development of end to end and system on chip (SOC) architectural solutions for next generation of graphics processing units (GPUs) and compute devices.
Responsibilities:
- In this role, your work will have critical impact in influencing next generation GPUs to be more enhanced/efficient and to maintain competitive edge in Qualcomm Graphics solution.
- You will be contributing to performance/power efficiency analysis and modelling at GPU level and system level for the Graphics/AI workloads such as benchmark/games by exploiting different SW/HW/Architectural knobs to find opportunities to improve perf/W.
- Work closely with larger modelling team and contribute to establish a scalable methodology for power projections for next generation GPU/SOC sizing.
- Be engaged and contribute to competitive perf/power analysis for popular benchmark/games to identify or be able to explain the gaps with reasonable evidence which could lead to next generation architecture/HW/SW enhancement opportunities.
- Develop tools for efficient, streamlined and scalable debug/validation tasks.
- Participate, contribute in next generation model improvement by providing post-si learning.
This role requires understanding of power concepts, system level architecture and micro-architecture details; be able to analyze performance and power from silicon measurements, have understanding of different SOC components (such as CPU, GPU, DDR, path-to-DDR) and a strong programming background.
Minimum
Skills:
Understanding of GPU and/or SOC architecture and common SoC hardware blocks ( Display, CPUs, BUS, etc.) Understanding of power concepts at micro-architecture as well as system architecture level Strong knowledge of python (or any other) programming. Sharp analytical and problem-solving skill Fluency in usage of latest AI tools for coding/debugging to solve system level problem. Minimum of Bachelor degree required
Preferred
Skills:
Masters degree or PhD 3 to 5 years of relevant experience SOC level power analysis as well as product level power analysis Knowledge of graphics APIs Knowledge and experience working of signal processing techniques Experience in competitive performance and power analysis for CPU or GPU centric use cases post-si debugging experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.OR
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
