Joint Tactics and Technologies is a leading provider of innovative solutions in the defense sector. We are currently seeking highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Network Engineers to join our dynamic team supporting the MIDS Program Office Support Team in PMA/W 101.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Provide expert-level support for all aspects of network architecture, including TCP/IP, OSI layers, VLANs, Trunking, QoS, DHCP, DNS, and VPNs.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand and translate program requirements into network design specifications.
  • Conduct thorough network assessments and recommend enhancements to optimize performance and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, implementing solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Design and implement secure network architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security measures.
  • Collaborate with system administrators and other IT staff to ensure seamless integration of network and system components.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in network engineering, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge‑sharing environment.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and configuration guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Incumbent familiar with work in the MIDS PMW/A 101 program Office in San Diego.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math/Computer Science. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) as a Senior Network Engineer in a DoD environment.
  • Expert in TCP/IP, OSI layers, VLANs, Trunking, QoS, DHCP, DNS, and VPN technologies.
  • Extensive experience with network security protocols and measures.
  • Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Hands‑on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
  • Security Clearance – YES. Active TS/SCI (or ability to obtain one).
