Principal Project Engineer / Project Manager

A respected civil engineering consulting firm is seeking a senior-level Civil Project Engineer / Project Manager to lead public works and municipal infrastructure projects in the San Diego area.

This role is strictly focused on civil public works infrastructure. Structural engineering or vertical building backgrounds will not be considered.

• Lead civil public works infrastructure projects from planning through construction
• Manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, and scopes of work
• Serve as primary contact for cities, counties, and public agencies
• Supervise and mentor civil engineering and design staff
• Oversee preparation of public improvement plans and construction documents
• Provide construction support and agency coordination

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• California PE (active or able to obtain within 6 months)
• 8+ years of civil engineering experience
• 3+ years managing engineering staff
• Strong background in municipal / public works infrastructure
• Experience working directly with public agencies

Public works & municipal infrastructure Roadways, utilities, storm drainage Public improvement plans & agency approvals

Structural engineering, building design, or vertical construction experience is not a fit.
