Energy Management/ Efficiency, Operations Manager
Under the direction and supervision of the Sr. Manager or Manager, Environmental, the Specialist, Environmental works with Facility Management and Staff to ensure compliance with all site environmental programs, including management of hazardous waste, petroleum products, chemicals, spill prevention and control, storm water run‑off, etc. The primary responsibility is to ensure company resources are used in a cost‑effective manner and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

- Supports and emphasizes the importance of safety and environmental programs and ensures regulatory compliance.
- Assists with the preparation of environmental regulatory reports to local, state and federal agencies.
- Recognizes problems, informs environmental manager of concerns and helps to resolve them.
- Assists with the creation of documents, including reports, memos, graphs, charts, tables, etc.
- Assists in the development and implementation of site‑specific programs and procedures including, but not limited to, SPCC plans.
- Assists with the maintenance of relationships with local and state regulatory agencies.
- Assist Facilities with data input, task completion and compliance reviews for Environmental Compliance Management System.
- Assists Facilities with maintaining compliance with site environmental permits.
- Keep the construction and operations management updated on existing or modified environmental regulations that may impact construction or operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Frequent travel to sites is required about 40%
- BA/BS in environmental science or related field and/or 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Requires valid license to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to operate personnel computer with technical proficiency of standard business software.
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Knowledge in wildlife biology related to renewable energy facilities
- Experience with Federal and state Endangered Species Act(s), Clean Air Act and/or Clean Water Act as related to the construction and operation of renewable energy projects
- DOT Certification for managing hazardous waste is a plus.
- Past experience with Tier II/HMBP (hazardous materials business plans) a plus

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.
Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations
$96,000 - $110,000 USD
