Senior Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Senior Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will work on-site daily in Palmdale, CA and require up to 25% travel or be located in El Segundo, CA or San Diego, CA and require up to 50% travel.
The selected candidate will work closely with the Program Leadership to meet the goals and objectives of the AS Business Management organization.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives
- Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
- Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts
- Uses Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR Master's degree with 6 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR 12 years of applicable work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Demonstrated experience in MS Project including, but not limited to, the detail development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.
- Ability and willingness to support implementation on programs.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in material cost management
- Strong proficiency with EVM
- Experience with SAP and MPM &/or COBRA
