Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer – Project Support is responsible for supporting active aerospace manufacturing projects through process planning, production readiness, documentation control, and cross-functional coordination. This role works closely with project, quality, operations, and engineering teams to ensure deliverables are executed on schedule and in compliance with manufacturing and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing deliverables for current projects, including process definition, readiness planning, and issue resolution;
- Coordinate with project managers, operations, quality, and engineering teams to ensure timely execution of project milestones;
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process plans, and related technical records;
- Identify and resolve production issues affecting schedule, quality, or readiness;
- Participate in risk tracking, action item closure, and continuous improvement initiatives related to project execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline;
- Experience in manufacturing engineering within aerospace or another highly regulated industry;
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production support, engineering changes, and quality systems;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional project environment;
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior aerospace manufacturing experience;
- Exposure to lean manufacturing and process improvement methods;
- Familiarity with ERP or MES systems;
- Ability to support fast-paced project-driven environments.
Work Arrangement / Engagement Notes:
This role is expected to support on-site manufacturing and project activities, with potential for extension based on business need and project load.
