System Test Engineering Technician – San Diego, CA Who We Are

This is a fast-moving, hands‑on team at the forefront of autonomous technology and they need a detail‑oriented, mechanically‑minded technician.

• Execute structured, step‑by‑step test procedures across software, firmware, and hardware components of autonomous robotic systems, ensuring every feature performs exactly as designed before deployment
• Physically operate and test robots in lab and real‑world environments, identifying behavioral anomalies, sensor failures, and hardware issues including tracking cameras, LiDAR, and other robotic systems
• Document defects clearly, thoroughly, and reproducibly in defect reports for the engineering team, maintaining precise records of test passes and outcomes to ensure traceability and repeatability
• Support the setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of robotic test spaces, hardware targets, and test equipment while adhering to safety protocols for working around moving autonomous machines

Please note:

This is an active, physical role. You will be on your feet for extended periods tracking mobile robots in a hardware lab environment and may be required to lift up to 20 pounds.

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $29.00 to $29.00 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
