Senior Procurement Engineer

Overview

The Senior Procurement Engineer develops and industrializes the supply base, drives Product Cost Roadmaps (PCRs), and executes Design for eXcellence (DfX) analyses and value-creation to optimize cost, quality, and risk.

Your role: Strong procurement background, appreciation of goals and metrics, strategizes, and delivers results. Own and manage product roadmaps (BOM cost reduction, component de-risking, and overall procurement strategy). Develops and implements cost-saving strategies to optimize product cost and manufacturability. Use DfX methodology to improve cost, quality, manufacturability, value, and risk. Represents the site procurement function in cross-functional teams and external negotiations, effectively communicating procurement strategies, cost considerations, and project updates to stakeholders.

• Own and manage product roadmaps focusing on cost reduction and de-risking
• Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize product cost and manufacturability
• Apply DfX methodology to improve cost, quality, manufacturability, value, and risk
• Represent the site procurement function in cross-functional teams and external negotiations
• Communicate procurement strategies, cost considerations, and project updates to stakeholders

• 2+ years of experience in supply chain management, engineering operations, research and development, quality, mechanical engineering, or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience preferred
• Skills:
  
  cost engineering, DfX methodology, supplier relationship management, business acumen, lean methodologies, and manufacturing procedures
• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic Engineering, Operations, Business or equivalent;
  Master’s degree preferred

Field roles are typically outside the main facilities, at customers or suppliers’ locations. This is an office role.

• The pay range for this position in CA is $105,000 to $168,000
• The actual base pay offered may vary based on knowledge, experience, business needs, location, and equity
• Other compensation such as annual incentive bonus, stock purchase plan, and benefits may be offered
