SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER
The Senior Civil Engineer at the County of San Diego leads and supervises a wide range of public works projects, from roadway improvements and bridge construction to water resource management and environmental sustainability initiatives, ensuring safety, efficiency, and stewardship.
Responsibilities- Design, plan, and manage public works projects including roadways, bridges, and water resources.
- Perform, supervise, and coordinate professional civil or structural engineering work in the field and office.
- Lead and supervise highly visible and sensitive projects within the Civil Engineer series.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize safety, efficiency, and environmental stewardship.
- Current registration as a Professional Engineer in California.
- Two (2) years of post‑registration experience performing professional civil or structural engineering work, OR two (2) years of experience as a Civil Engineer with the County of San Diego.
- Salary base of $, consistent with the highest step in the officer and employee compensation system.
