Hydraulic Modelers
Location:
HDR Engineering, Inc., 591 Camino de la Reina, Suite 300, San Diego, CA
Will support the design and hydraulic evaluation of new or existing water distribution systems and collection systems.
Responsibilities- Develop hydraulic models using GIS data and as-built drawings.
- Collect and assess field data for hydraulic model calibration.
- Analyze flow, demand, population, water quality, and facilities condition data.
- Perform hydraulic analyses utilizing a variety of software programs.
- Conduct technical research into product information, design codes, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare technical reports and master plans, including the development of text, tables and figures.
- Communicate effectively with all project team members.
- Maintain task/project budgets and schedules.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Assist with marketing activities, including client outreach and proposal development for water/wastewater engineering and hydraulic analysis projects.
- A bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering and 3 years of experience in hydraulic analysis and modeling.
- Pre- and post- master's degree experience accepted.
- Engineer-in-training (EIT) certification from any state required.
Tools and Technologies: GIS, various hydraulic modeling software packages, Microsoft Office Suite.
